Finding Peace (Open)

[Matilda]

Tilly stood near the edge of the lake looking out at the dark water. It was a gloomy cold day so most of the other kids were inside which she was glad for. This year she hadn’t tried out for Quidditch and had tried to hide in most of her classes. It wasn’t that Tilly hated school she hated her sister. She hated that they were treated as a unit and not two different people. She hated how her sister treated her like a servant and not a sister.

Tilly had seen Draco treat his brother Penn the same way. She could also tell that Penn was getting to the end of his rope as well. Watching the wind catch her hair Tilly thought about dying it a dark color but then no doubt Tally would do the same or whine till she changed it back.

With a heavy sigh Tilly closed her eyes enjoying the silence and stillness of the lake. She was also trying to figure out other places to hide from Tally at. It was ridiculous but needed till they graduated and then Tilly could go off on her own. Another fact she hadn’t told her sister.

“Maybe I’ll get lucky and she will latch onto another guy…”

Tilly mused out loud.

[Tommy Ashbourne]

"Maybe... but who are we wishing this on?"

Tommy asked as he heard someone say something about some girl latching onto a guy or something of the sort. Tommy could usually care less but the voice was familiar. He came over to investigate and sure enough it was Tilly. He always wanted to talk to her when Tally was going with Peter but Tally wouldn't have anyone paying attention to anyone but her. He was damn glad she was no longer with Peter. That girl got on his every last nerve.

Tilly turned with a start at the sound of a voice. Seeing it was Tommy she turned back to the lake.

“I was talking to myself…it doesn’t matter.”

She said in a soft voice. Tilly always spoke softly it was better then trying to yell over Tally. Tilly suddenly seemed nervous and moved closer to a near by tree as if to hide…thought not from Tommy. Tilly was use to Tally taking over ever social situation they were in so it was hard to not want to hide to protect the ones Tilly found herself in alone.

“Tally…”

She finally confessed moving to sit on the ground near the trees roots.

“I’d feel sorry for the guy but then I would get some peace. The only reason I’m alone now is because of that new guy…Prince something? Tally took one look at him and them SWOOSH…”

Tilly made a sort of rocket hand motion then laughed softly.

“Hope the guy can handle himself. You know how she can be.”

The twins had spent a lot of time with the Slytherins when Peter and Tally were a thing. Not the Tilly got to know a single one of them. Tally always had to shine brighter and so she had.
